If you've done something for someone and you're feeling hurt because they aren't recognizing your efforts or showing gratitude, here's something important to remember. Often, when we do things for others, it's because those actions mattered to us at the time. We rarely do anything purely for others; there’s always a part of us that cared about the situation, the person, or the outcome. That's why we chose to act. When things go wrong and we start thinking, "I've done so much for them," it can lead to bitterness. Instead of framing it that way, remind yourself that you did what you did because it mattered to you then. You acted out of love or fear of loosing or for connection or recognition or any other desire. Half the time we give ourselves permission to think badly about others because we think Godly about ourselves,not recognising & accepting that we are also human who have desires and what we did is out of some kind of desire.It served us ...
