I can't believe I did this....
"I Can’t Believe I Did This…"
"I can't make this mistake.
I knew this. So how could I still do it?"
Have you ever felt this?
That crushing guilt when you make a mistake you knew you shouldn’t? You were fully aware that this action could cause damage, yet you did it unconsciously. And now, it’s not just the mistake—it’s the shame that’s eating you up.
Maybe the damage is high. Maybe it feels irreversible.
But what now?
I know it’s not easy. Not when the consequences feel heavy.
But really—WHAT NOW?
How long will you keep punishing yourself?
How long will you keep blaming yourself?
And how is it helping you?
BTW,Who do you think you are to not make mistakes?
Do you think you’re god?All perfect?
No.
You are a human.
Why can't you do mistake?
Don't you think this is actually an unrealistic expectation from yourself ,that I should not do mistake.
Because you feel your mistakes make you imperfect.
What's that obsession with being perfect, when clearly it's choking you and crushing your life.
Can you not see there is a beauty in imperfection.?
Society has put the idea of perfection in you, which is clearly weighing you down.
How long will you carry that weight?
One mistake does not define you.
What about all the incredible qualities you have? Do they not matter now because of this one mistake?
Of course not.
You still matter.
Yes, some equations may change because of the damage.
But you are still the same person. It’s just that you think you are damaged.
Can you see yourself beyond this mistake?
Can you shift your focus toward learning the lesson, damage control, repair, and finding a way forward?
You are still that kind, thoughtful, intelligent person. You are still worthy.
Accept yourself, including this mistake and whatever it brought.Because acceptance is the first step to true healing.
Then, focus on the repair. Not from a place of self-hatred, but from a place of responsibility and self-respect.
Always remember, one mistake doesn’t define you.
Love,
Pratiksha
