I am tired of surviving.

I am tired of surviving. Living safely. I want to live freely. Make waves. Take up space. Laugh aloud. Crack silly jokes. Bother people. Make a fool out of myself and still not shrink. Feel helplessness. Get embarrassed. Love freely. Feel sad. Cry hard on someone's shoulder. Express fully. Dance while everyone is watching. Let people dislike me. Be bold. Thrive. Not just survive.

Ma

A corner of my heart that still aches. And no one knows. I have never let anyone see. They think they know. I wonder if they really do. I am still unknown. 9 yrs... And still learning to find the words to describe it To describe you... To describe us... For the pain you endured and I couldn't see.  For  the things you did for me and I couldn't see. For the mean words I said and things I did to you for me being so immature. For the things I am still upset about you... For what I still don't agree with you... What do I say now... I am sorry. Thank you. You did your best. Does it matter now? Please forgive me for the hurt I caused. Thank you for everything you did for me which contributes to who I am today. May you find your peace. You will.... Bless me to find mine. I want you to live in my heart, Not as an ache but as a strength. I want to choose my own destiny. Bless me to move on..... Bless me to create my own path. Bless me Ma. Be my strength. Love, Pratiksha

What if it turned out better than you thought.

Is thinking about the worst case sinarios always good. Well it prepares you to some extent but what if it paralyses you. And that's what I used to do. Thinking about what could go wrong .I was thinking I am just preparing myself for the worst but it made me paralysed in many cases. And as a result,I didn't try new things. Life became boring. Lost the spark. Why ? because beauty lies in the unknown. Excitement lies in surprise. And knowing things in advance spoils the surprise. The only thing you need to know is you can figure it out. Even though you don't know how, now. But you will figure out somehow. That's the safety you have. And that's enough. Let the unknown surprise you. Let it fill your life with excitement. Let your spark be back. Let yourself feel alive again. Know that you will get the support when you need it. Trust that you can create your own support system. Allow yourself to flow. Let life surprise you. You don't know....What if it turned out bett...

May you stop seeing yourself through the eyes that never saw you.

Sometimes, the people we desperately want to to understand us… simply can’t. And in that moment of loneliness, you begin to question yourself. Maybe they are right. Maybe I am overthinking. Maybe I am wrong. Without realising you are losing yourself in the process. Just because someone can't see you doesn't mean you are not there.  Doesn't mean you don't feel what you feel. Doesnt mean you don't have the needs that you have. Suppressing your needs and emotions because someone can't see it, doesn't make them vanish. What you  feel is valid.Even though others can't see it. But at least you don't be the person who dismiss, avoid or supress your own selves. Suppressing, neglecting, avoiding your needs and emotions never give a fruitful results. It may create a false peace in the moment but create a big explosion later. May you stop seeing yourself through the eyes that never saw you. May you see yourself even though no one else does. Love, Pratiksha

I Will Still Hold You

Show me who you are, and I will still hold you. You don't need to worry and pretend,  because I will still hold you. It's unfortunate that you had to wear masks remove it and I will still hold you. With your fears, insecurities, even with your survival mechanisms, I will still hold you. You can relax in my hold always, I will keep holding you. And that me is you. I will hold me always. Love, Pratiksha #selflove #courage #innerclarity #selfconnection

The anklet I didn't keep but the wisdom I did

Image
A recent incident that taught me a deep lesson… I had been wanting to buy anklets for a while. So I asked my brother if he could gift them to me as a my Rakhi & Birthday present .  Later, I shared this with my grandmother, and she lovingly said she would buy the anklets for me on my brother’s behalf. I felt excited. We went to a jeweller, someone from whom our relatives had purchased earlier. It was a bit late in the evening. I wanted a 92.5% silver anklet. I tried on 2–3 designs, but before I could explore further, my brother called asking me to return soon.  I was in a rush, and in that moment of pressure, I quickly picked a pair. As I was almost at the billing counter, I asked the jeweller about the silver quality. He said it's 70%. I was surprised. This wasn’t what I wanted. Yet, I convinced myself to go ahead with it.  Thoughts like: They’ve kept the shop open for me late... They’ve already shown me several pieces... It would be awkward to walk away now… ...p...

What's Really Stopping You?

Image
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂? To do something, you say you want to do.What's really stopping you? People's opinions? If something truly matters to you ,would someone’s opinion really be enough to stop you? Or is it possible... that it doesn’t matter as much as you say it does? When we're deeply connected to a purpose, the noise of the world fades. We do it,not because it’s easy, but because deep down, we know we must. Think back to a time when you did something despite what others thought… Why? Because you knew it was really really important to you. So if you’re feeling stuck now, pause and ask yourself honestly Is this truly ,I mean truly important to me? Or am I holding onto it because I think I should? If it really mattered, you would probably be doing it already. And if you are not, maybe it’s not as important Or maybe you just haven’t found a reason strong enough to move you. Here’s the hard truth- Blaming others for your hesitation...

This Legacy Is My True Inheritance

Image
𝗠𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲. Today is International Yoga Day. And I feel immensely grateful. Because this beautiful gift of yoga, this way of life rooted in health, discipline, and presence wasn’t something I discovered by myself. It was passed down to me. By two of the most important men in my life- 𝗠𝘆 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗳𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝘆 𝗳𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿. My earliest memory of my grandfather is someone who is deeply disciplined about his health. He was the first person to wake up in the family, way before the sunrise. Doing his Yoga and meditation practice. He had his specific diet. He used to go swimming and walk no matter what day it was. Not as a task, but as a sacred way of honouring his body and soul. 𝗛𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵. 𝗛𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝘁. And then there’s my father-my very first yoga teacher. Someone who guided me through my first asanas. Being a doctor himself he always says, "𝑫𝒐𝒏'𝒕 𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖...

No Achievement Can Heal A Soul That Was Never Made To Feel Whole.

Image
Your child is not your means of achievement. They are not your second chance at joy, success or fulfillment. Don’t try to live the life you couldn’t, through them. If that’s your approach, then no matter how “successful” your child becomes,no matter how much the world praises your parenting-You Have Missed The Essence of Parenting. Because the world’s definition of a good parent is deeply flawed. It celebrates results, not the roots. Achievements, not the emotional health. Trophies, not the truth. The real question is this, Have you built your child’s self-esteem or silently crushed it along the way? Have you raised someone who feels worthy or someone who looks accomplished on the outside but feels hollow within? I’ve met enough people who’ve achieved all the success the world demands, yet they carry this deep, silent wound-“I’m still not enough. I don’t deserve this.” And that? That’s heartbreaking. Because No Achievement Can Heal A Soul That Was Never Made To Feel Whole. Love, Pratiks...

True freedom begins ,the moment...

Image
At the end of the day, I and only I am responsible for everything I think and feel. No matter what happens outside, my inner world is mine to lead. My true freedom begins ,the moment I stop blaming the outside for my inner chaos. Blaming others for my emotional state might bring temporary relief. But it keeps me stuck. Real power begins when I stop expecting others to bring me peace. Yes, people can trigger me. Yes, situations can be unfair. But how I choose to respond is always within my control. This isn’t about self-blame. It’s about self-empowerment. I may not have created the wound, but healing it? That’s my job. I’ve learned that emotional maturity isn’t about never feeling bad , it’s about knowing what to do when I do. Whether it’s journaling, seeking help, or sitting with my emotions ,I hold the keys to clarity. The moment I stop waiting for someone else to fix how I feel, I become truly free. Because responsibility isn’t a burden ,it’s a superpower. And from that place, real ...

What I Did To Lose 4.8kg Weight In 2 Months In A Healthy Way

Image
From 58.5 kg on 24th Feb 2025 to 53.7 kg on 22nd April 2025 . I lost 4.8 kg in a healthy way. Here is what I did for healthy weight loss. 4 Important Components That Helped- 1. Mindset Matters 2. Food Habits 3. Exercise Routine 4. Fasting Practice 1. Mindset Matters  1. What’s Your Why? Though I was enjoying my chubby cheeks, something I didn’t have for 26 years of my life, unhealthy fat started causing trouble. It began with issues in my menstrual cycle. When I did a USG, it showed early signs of PCOS. That was my wake-up call. I realized now was the time to take control before things get worse. I started researching what could help, and the first thing that stood out was this. Losing 5–10% of body weight can positively impact PCOS. At 58.5 kg, that meant I needed to reach around 52 kg. But losing 6 kg felt daunting. So, I set smaller, achievable targets. First 56 kg, then 54 kg (because I didn’t want to lose too much of the cheeks I adored!). 2. Keep A Target Without a deadl...

Why Do You Feel Stuck? (And It’s Not Because You’re Weak)

Image
I was watching a video yesterday where a teacher did an interesting experiment . She divided students into two groups and gave them 3 same problem solving task. One group was told to raise their hands as soon as they finished. The other group just had to do the task no hand raising involved. Now here’s the twist… By the second round, the group without the hand- raising instruction began to slow down. As the first group raised their hands the second group looked around. They felt like they were falling behind. They hesitated. By the third question, some of them even started doubting themselves, getting confused, overwhelmed by a task they could have easily done. And their speed slowed down. The teacher used this setup to demonstrate a powerful concept - Learned helplessness. This helped me understand and connect the dots to why so many of us are stuck in the victim mindset. It's because of learned helplessness. What is learned helplessness? It’s when someone experiences failure or feel...

I can't believe I did this....

Image
"I Can’t Believe I Did This…" "I can't make this mistake. I knew this. So how could I still do it?" Have you ever felt this? That crushing guilt when you make a mistake you knew you shouldn’t? You were fully aware that this action could cause damage, yet you did it unconsciously. And now, it’s not just the mistake—it’s the shame that’s eating you up. Maybe the damage is high. Maybe it feels irreversible. But what now? I know it’s not easy. Not when the consequences feel heavy. But really—WHAT NOW? How long will you keep punishing yourself? How long will you keep blaming yourself? And how is it helping you? BTW,Who do you think you are to not make mistakes? Do you think you’re god?All perfect?  No. You are a human. Why can't you do mistake? Don't you think this is actually an unrealistic expectation from yourself ,that I should not do mistake. Because you feel your mistakes make you imperfect. What's that obsession with being perfect, when clearly it...

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐈 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐦𝐲 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬?

𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐝𝐨 𝐈 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥 𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 𝐦𝐲 𝐠𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬? Have you ever wondered that? Last night, while journaling, I was reflecting on this question. Today, during a session with my mentor, Puja Puneet, I gained even more insights into this topic—specifically about energy. What I Learned- 1.People feel demotivated and lack energy because they don’t have a strong enough desire. Their 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗲𝗻𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 to truly move them. 2. They 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗽𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀, which leads to demotivation. The Key is to: Have a deep desire. Make fast decisions and take fast actions. Understand that every action leads to one of two outcomes: delight or disappointment. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗼 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘁. In Life,Either You Discuss Or Decide,You Can't Do Both.

Image
"In life, either you discuss or decide. You can't do both.If you discuss you can't decide. If you have decided then no need to discuss." I heard this from Dr.Velumani in Changemaker. And how true it is! I could so relate to it. There were times in my life when I didn't trust myself, and what's best for me,so I went to others and what it did is increase my confusion and paralyse me. But later as I listen to my soul trusting what's best for me,even If I didn't know how to do it,I decided and started working towards it and that's how figured things out. Isn't that's what adulting is? Making your own choices by knowing what's best for you. Not everyone will understand you, your dreams, your wants and if you discuss it with them then the only thing you will find yourself in is a dilemma. Should I go after it or not. Who knows what's best for you? Love, Pratiksha P.S.- I totally believe in getting perspectives of experts in the matter that we d...

The more you numb yourself, the more you bury who you truly are

Image
At just 8 years old, I unknowingly adopted a survival strategy—numbing myself. Whenever I felt uncomfortable emotions I couldn’t express, I turned to television as my escape. And so, the avoidance continued. Even as an adult I avoided uncomfortable emotions by watching television, mobile, and living in an alternate fantasy world to avoid the discomfort and to feel temporary good. But here’s the truth- 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗻𝘂𝗺𝗯 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳,𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲. When we numb ourselves—whether through distractions like social media, food, work, or any other escape—we push down our real emotions and avoid facing what’s truly going on inside us.  Over time, this creates distance between who we are and who we pretend to be for the sake of comfort or peace. Emotions, even the difficult ones, are signals guiding us toward self-awareness.  When we ignore them, we lose touch with our authentic selves.  The more we suppress, the ...

Have you ever felt guilty about being privileged?

Have you ever felt guilty about being privileged? Have you ever felt you aren’t worthy of your success because you’re privileged? Why Privileged People Deserve Their Success Without Guilt- 1. Society Glorifies Struggle: Society often values effort as the ultimate measure of success, creating the belief that hard work is the only way to "earn" accomplishments. However, success is a combination of effort, strengths, and circumstances—not just struggle. 2. Privilege is Not a Choice: Natural talents, easier learning, or better opportunities are gifts a person is born with, not something they chose. These gifts don’t diminish the worthiness of their achievements. 3. Success is Multifaceted: Privilege doesn’t invalidate success; it’s just one factor. Strengths like intelligence, strategic thinking, and resourcefulness also contribute, and these don’t always require visible effort. 4. Effort Isn’t the Only Measure: Just because success came with less struggle doesn’t mean it’s undes...

Win The War,Not The Battles

Image
I was reflecting on something last night. Do I really need to have the last word in every argument? If so why? Where is it coming from? And how is it impacting the relationships? And I remember what my mentor said- Win the war not the battle. You cannot win an argument, because even if you win you lose it in the long term. So win the war not the battle. Relationships are work. Frictions, differences in opinions are part of it. But how I am managing them, shows the future of my relationships. Do I really win the petty battles or win the important war? What's your war? What battles are you fighting? Is that necessary? Love, Pratiksha

Are you seeking attention negatively without realising?

Image
We all want to be noticed and appreciated, but have you ever considered that sometimes we seek attention through immature ways without realizing it?  This can harm how others see us.It makes them doubt our reliability. You might get attention, but the impression you're leaving is that you're irresponsible. This kind of behavior often comes from unconscious patterns we’ve developed from childhood but they no longer serve us as adults. As children, acting this way may have helped us avoid responsibilities or get away with mistakes.People may have forgiven you easily because you were a child, but now you are an adult, and expected to act like one. As adults, we are expected to take responsibility, not avoid it. We’re also expected to own our mistakes. Avoiding it by being victim, makes you look childish and leads to loss of trust and respect. If you don’t want to take certain responsibilities, isn’t it better to address them directly rather than acting immaturely?  Have the courage...

If you've done something for someone and you're feeling hurt because they aren't recognizing your efforts or showing gratitude, here's something important to remember. Often, when we do things for others, it's because those actions mattered to us at the time.  We rarely do anything purely for others; there’s always a part of us that cared about the situation, the person, or the outcome. That's why we chose to act. When things go wrong and we start thinking, "I've done so much for them," it can lead to bitterness. Instead of framing it that way, remind yourself that you did what you did because it mattered to you then. You acted out of love or fear of loosing or for connection or recognition or any other desire. Half the time we give ourselves permission to think badly about others because we think Godly about ourselves, not recognising & accepting that we are also human who have desires and what we did is out of some kind of desire. It served us ...
